Please note that farms have certain risk factors. Animals, such as deer, carry forms of bacteria that can cause harm and ill health to individuals, especially the young and old as well as pregnant mothers. Extra care must be taken by all visitors to wash their hands, with hot water and soap, after they are in close contact or near animals; and especially before eating, drinking or smoking. It is essential that all parents and guardians of young children encourage and enforce hand washing, whilst preventing thumb sucking and nail biting whilst on site at the farm.
